Less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier Estes Express Lines is expanding its partnership with freight transportation technology provider Optym amid a US LTL market dealing with the repercussions of Yellow declaring bankruptcy earlier this month, writes JOC.com Senior Technology Editor Eric Johnson.

The expansion of the commercial agreement, announced Tuesday, will see Estes use three additional Opytm products on top of two existing planning tools it already uses. The new solutions are Optym’s RouteMax tool that lets LTL carriers optimize routing, dispatching and driver management, and two newer tools, LiveHaul and DockAi, that assist with appointment scheduling, driver assignment and dock management.
